A recent client ordered a red egg cake to celebrate her son’s one month birthday with her family. She then explained that it is a Chinese custom to celebrate a child’s one month birthday at a red egg party where the family gives out red eggs to celebrate life and bring good fortune to the new baby. With that in mind, I thought it might be a nice idea to incorporate the baby’s name in the cake – so here is SweetElement’s red egg cake with Cooper’s Chinese name!
The cake was an almond cake filled with lemon curd, frosted in vanilla moussaline buttercream and decorated in chocolate, fondant & buttercream.
