Who is this girl?

I’m sure in time my blog entries will speak volumes about who I am and what I do, but since this is still relatively new, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to tell you a little more about myself

In short …

I grew up in the Nutmeg state and hated every moment of it.

I am currently living in the Garden state and have a black thumb.

I spend 4-5 days a week in the Big Apple in a desk job pushing drugs. Hurrah! I am finally free of corporate after 10 years … and living life as a solo entrepreneur & pastry chef!  Visit my other official bakery blog at SweetElement.wordpress.com!

I would much rather roll out of bed, into chef “blacks” and into a kitchen to create edible art than be a commuting desk drone anyday.

I am happily (most days) married to a wonderful man who I know must love me because he tolerates so much of my shit.

I have two three beautiful kids (with tails) that I love to pieces…and one who I miss like crazy.

I am extremely lucky to have a close knit group of friends that are like family to me.

In the near future – my side biz,  SweetElement will have a storefront so I can satisfy more than just the two degrees of the inner circle’s sweet cravings. No storefront just yet … but I’m building out the OFFICIAL cake & chocolate studio as I write this!

I cannot live without the following:
Furry creatures in my house
Books
Coffee
Bread (Damn those Atkins dieters!)
Chips (almost any kind – but I am partial to anything made of potato)
A well equipped kitchen
Crafting supplies – esp. knitting & painting
Hoodie Sweatshirts (I’m always cold)
At least 4 lbs of butter and 4 dozen eggs in the fridge
